Introduction:
Effective management of storage facilities is crucial as costs continue to rise. Analyzing, monitoring, and controlling the stock items based on customer needs and priorities are essential tasks. Constant review of facilities and resources is necessary to maximize service levels and optimize operations. Additionally, compliance with stringent Health and Safety regulations adds to the responsibilities of Warehousing and Distribution Managers. This course provides an introduction to the day-to-day operations and the implementation of effective management systems for controlling and supporting organizational requirements. It covers legal requirements, their impact on working practices, and the responsibilities and expected role of Warehousing and Distribution Managers. The course incorporates case studies and discussions to reinforce the learning objectives.
Course Objectives:
On completion of this course, the participant will have a full understanding of the skills and knowledge required of the Warehousing Manager for the organization, strategy, and physical deployment of goods using safe practices. The participant will also understand the activities and the management of day to day operations and ensure successful stores and transit facility. They will also learn Health and Safety requirements, which are applicable within the environments, and how they impact upon his responsibilities.
