Introduction:
In the past decade, there has been a rapid evolution of communication technologies and approaches, presenting new avenues for engaging individuals in social change processes. However, alongside these advancements, various global factors such as changing demographics, globalization, armed conflicts, climate change, diseases, pandemics and epidemics, movements of migrant and refugee populations, and rapid urbanization have emerged as new challenges. These challenges have necessitated innovative approaches in the development and communication sectors.
This course serves as an introduction to the field of Communication for Development (C4D). C4D is a process rooted in evidence-based practices that utilize a diverse range of communication tools, channels, and approaches to facilitate participation and engagement with children, families, communities, and networks. Its aim is to bring about positive social and behavioral change in both development and humanitarian contexts. C4D draws upon insights and concepts from the social, behavioral, and communication sciences.
Over the course of three days, this training program addresses the growing need for enhanced communication competencies to tackle these new challenges and leverage opportunities for innovation. By participating in this course, you will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve behavioral and social change successfully. It equips you with the tools and strategies needed to navigate the ever-evolving communication landscape and make a positive impact in diverse contexts.

At the end of this Communication for Development (C4D) Course, learners will be able to do:
