This course is offered with the following aims in mind:
- Offering an intensive explanation of what the Stock Track Plus system consists of
- Highlight the advantages of a WMS system in managing warehouses and inventory
- Explaining the different functions available within the software
Who Should Attend?
This course is aimed at Warehouse and Stores, Supply-Chain and Logistics Personnel as well as ICT personnel working in environments related to the Warehouse and Supply Chain Functions.
Course Outlines:
System overview and static data profiles
A basic overview
Prior to showing the actual software a brief explanation of how the system has been envisaged for use shall be given. Particular emphasis shall be made on the ownership and custody of stock while this same stock is still in stores
From a software perspective, this session serves to introduce the basic functionality of the software to prospective STP users. It is envisaged that users here become familiar with the key menu features of the software, navigating the menus, and some of the options available.
inbuilt dashboard and diary
Users will be shown these two most useful features of the software, which greatly enhance the user-friendliness of the sequence procedures utilized in performing the day to day transactions within the system
static data setup
Producing the basic requirements to set up customers, products and stock locations in the software, this session shall demonstrate the most basic static data essentially required to begin using the system successfully
Inbound transactions using WMS
Creating expected receipts and labels
This session concentrates on the day-to-day entries being fed into the system online.
Users shall be shown the inbound (receiving) functionality with particular emphasis on creating pre-ordered receipts and labels for them. The software’s GUI shall be fully elaborated on for both planned and unplanned receipts
Production
Following on from Chapter 2.1, the inbound logistical aspect shall now be replaced by a demonstration of the internal manufacturing process, whereby products already in stock are converted into new stocks in a manufactured state. Planned and unplanned receipts shall be entertained. Planned and unplanned returns to raw materials sub stores shall also be demonstrated
Internal movements
- Tracking the physical movement of stocks while inside the stores shall now be shown.
- Putting away stocks received as well as moving and building stock pallets are an essential day-to-day requirement of modern businesses
- Holding items as well as freezing locations for reasons such as quarantine or quality control shall be demonstrated
Outbound transactions using WMS
Order entries
This chapter shall demonstrate the outbound functionality of WMS with emphasis on order entering, stock assigning, picking orders, loading and dispatch
Order completion
Once an order has been prepared and dispatched, orders satisfied shall be marked as completed. This session shall demonstrate such characteristics in the application
Other processes
Training in WMS shall culminate with associated functionality encompassing works orders and issues to production as well as direct transfers within the stock module
User settings & Reports
This final chapter shall show how system administrators may set up user IDs and menu profiles in the system. Moreover, an overview of report generating shall also be pr
